Young Africans Sports Club, mostly known as Yanga, is a Tanzanian football club based in Jangwani, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Yanga was founded in 1935. The club play their home games at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Young Africans Sports Club has won 28 league titles and a number of domestic cups
Yanga has participated in multiple CAF Champions League editions
They have won the CECAFA Club Championship five times
Young Africans became associated with nationalists and freedom fighters and inspired the political party TANU to adopt yellow and green as their primary colors
The club became a symbol of the anti-colonial movement
The club is currently in a process that will keep the club ownership of 49% for investors and the rest of 51% to the club members
Young Africans SC's biggest rivals are Simba Sports Club. The Yanga and Simba derby is mostly known as the Kariakoo derby
The Kariakoo derby was ranked 5th as one of the most famous African derbies
Yanga's leadership system starts with the president of the club. And currently, the President of Yanga is Eng. Hersi Ally Said
The head coach of Yanga is Nasredinne Nabi, and his assistant Cedric Kaze
